In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we're catching up with alumnus Jolene Dennis.
What are you doing now?
I work in quality risk management and pharmaceutical manufacturing support.
How did APS prepare you for this role?
My teachers all believed in me and encouraged me to come out of my shy shell. My science teachers were so awesome that I really wanted to find a career in the sciences.
What is your advice for current Packers?
Anything is possible with the guidance of your teachers and counselors. Don’t be afraid to ask for help with school work you are struggling with and don’t feel discouraged if you aren’t a straight A student. I was a B student and still went to college and got a great job with a major biopharma company.
Who at APS inspired you?
Mr. Burkhardt (Orchestra) was a big inspiration.
What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
The rectangle pizza!
